It was in November 1988 that the first edition of the monthly magazine Kings Jazz Review appeared on the streets of Croydon, Surrey, England. It was as an A5 sized, two paged spread copy.
The magazine reigned for ten years, overlapping in its final two years with the current website, this page, created with Dreamweaver 3 software in the first week of July 2000, being another part of the site.
KJR as it became known, was outspoken over the lack of support by the Arts Council of England for Traditional jazz, and claimed this to be a national disgrace. Who can deny that otherwise?
